“Languedoc-Roussillon v Southern Rhône: Top wines compared” by James Lawther, Decanter


Earlier this year we organised a blind tasting pitting top Languedoc-Roussillon wines (including our own La Madone 2017) against well-known producers from the Southern Rhône (including Châteauneuf-du-Pape). An independent jury of 13 specialist journalists from France, Germany, the UK and USA tasted and rated the wines, and Decanter’s James Lawther wrote up the results. Needless to say, we were delighted that he awarded La Madone 90 points, and his conclusion (that some of the Languedoc wines tasted here represent excellent value for money) is encouraging for Languedoc producers in general…
