Corbières is a wine Appellation of Protected Origin since 1985. It is produced on more than 17,000 acres stretching from Carcassonne to the ponds Leucate and Narbonne. They offer a wide variety of soils (shale, sandstone, limestone, marl …) and the zone name is segmented into four distinct parts: the Hautes Corbières, Corbières plants, the Mediterranean area and Alaric Corbières. The climate is mostly Mediterranean, with oceanic influences.

It produces red wines from Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, rosé wines from Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah, white wines from Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, Maccabeu, Marsanne, Roussanne and Vermentino.
